Vital Leicester understands that Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson is looking to tie up a season long loan deal for Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale.

The goalkeeper spent two months with the Foxes at the tail end of this season, and Pearson is in the hunt to snare the ‘keeper for Leicester’s return to the Championship.

Stockdale, 23, would almost certainly welcome a move back to Leicester, and speaking before the team’s last home match of the season, he said: ‘It would be a nice option and I would be back in a shot. I’d certainly never say no to returning and it’s being discussed between the two clubs, which is a nice thing’.

With the deal in the pipeline, the club are now waiting on Stockdale’s parent club Fulham to continue negotiations.

Meanwhile, we are also led to believe that the club are in negotiations with Hull City over the permanent transfer of goalkeeper Tony Warner.
