Nigel Pearson has declared his interest in signing 20 year-old Jack Hobbs on a permanent deal from Liverpool. Hobbs has been on loan all season from the Reds, and has impressed both fans and manager alike along way.

Pearson: ‘If you are suggesting I might be interested in bringing him here, that would be right.’

Hobbs has made 38 appearances for the Foxes so far this season, firmly stamping his marker on the first choice centre back spot. A wide consensus of Leicester fans would enjoy seeing the youngster pair with the currently injured Aleksander Tunchev next season at the heart of defence.

Recent newspaper speculation linked Leicester with a £400,000 permanent move for the youngster, but a larger figure is more realistic for the player signed from Lincoln City at the age of 17.
