Leicester are now back from the weeklong stay in Slovenia and Nigel Pearson believes that the time spent as a group will play a major part in the coming season, with the tour hailed as a big success.

The gaffer said the experience was different and the conditions made it difficult to train at times but the time spent together as a squad enabled the players to get to know him and each other better, with the new signings Nicky Adams, Michael Morrison, Kerrea Gilbert and Aleksander Tunchev taking no time to feel like part of the group, although the Bulgarian did have the difficulty of the language barrier to content with but countryman Radostin Kishishev helped him there. Tunchev was speaking more and more English by the end of the week though.

There was of course a match played as well, a 2-2 draw with Olimpija in midweek, and this also enabled Pearson to look at a few things and true a few different things. City’s Pre-season continues with a match against Luton on Tuesday.
