Wolverhampton Wanderers chief executive Jez Moxey has denied claims that newly-promoted Leicester have tabled a £1.5m bid for midfielder Andy Keogh.

It had been reported recently that Nigel Pearson had prepared an offer for the Republic of Ireland international, but the Wolves chief has revealed that no bid has yet been received.

Moxey told local press, ‘It’s nonsense – there has been no bid for Andy Keogh,’. This however, does not rule out a future move for the midfielder, whose future is in possible doubt after Wolves’ promotion to the Premier League.

Keogh signed a long-term contract with Wolves in February of this year that keeps him at Molineux until 2012.
