Morgan – It Was A Penalty

Wes Morgan is adamant he should’ve been given a penalty during the final stages of the game against Brighton.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury the new signing said he was pulled to the floor and had two arms around him and he thought it was a clear penalty, which unfortunately wasn’t given.

‘I definitely thought I should have had a penalty, there was a free kick, players were jostling, it was a great ball in and I thought I was impeded. I was pulled down and he had two arms around me but it was one of those days. I was upset and disappointed the referee didn’t give it but a lot of the decisions didn’t go our way.’

It’s not all doom and gloom, Morgan adds that there are plenty of positives the team can take from their performance.

‘We put in a good, hard working performance. We didn’t get what we deserved. We’ve now got to roll up our sleeves and get ready for the next game against Cardiff. If the gaffer needs me, I will be ready.’
