Leicester City tonight announced that they have dispensed with the services of Craig Levein as manager.

Levein plus coaches Peter Houston and Kenny Black will leave with immediate effect after a series of disastrous results.

The news was revealed by Chief Executive Tim Davies and was much expected. A Press Conference will be held at the club at 6.30.

Leicester are in the bottom three of the Championship. They have won once in 15 League games, recorded one away win all season and have suffered six successive defeats.

It is thought assistant manager Rob Kelly and goalkeeper coach Mike Stowell will take temporary charge of the team until a new managerial team is appointed.
