Leicester City slipped to their first Championship defeat in six matches under new manager Rob Kelly, losing 2-0 to Ipswich at Portman Road today after offering thoroughly unenterprising opposition.

Goals by 18-year-old midfield Owen Garvan after 51 minutes and debutant loanee Ricardo Fuller after 85 minutes gave Ipswich a deserved victory.

Both goals came from set-piece corners and both were delivered to the near post by dead-ball specialist midfielder Darren Currie.

The first was touched on at the near post by centre-back De Vos and the second was flicked in directly from that front post area.

Leicester slipped down one place to 20th in the table, below Derby, having failed to beat Ipswich away for 18 years.
