After struggling for goals last season, in what was a struggling Leicester side to be fair, Matty Fryatt is eager to rediscover his goalscoring form this season and score the goal to help us to promotion back to the Championship.

Fryatt, 22, managed only 3 goals in 35 appearances last season but after opening his account in our opening pre-season fixture on Saturday, a 5-4 win over Hinckley United, he is determined to get back to his best, and as he is feeling good about his game and those around him he believes that he can. Whatever happens though he wants to put last season’s disappointment, both personally and professionally, behind him.

27 goals in 49 matches earned him a move to the Walkers from Walsall, and 6 in his first 9 matches for us saw big things expected, sadly this wasn’t the case, however I back him to rediscover his best form this season as he is hoping to.
