Frustration For Pearson

Nigel Pearson has admitted his deep frustration following our loss to Watford last night. Especially as we had the chances to take all three points, or the very least a point.

Speaking to lcfc.com following the game, the manager said.

‘I think it’s been another frustrating night for us, and unfortunately I think conceding two goals in quick succession had a pretty visible effect on the players mentality. It knocked us for six, but that’s been the story of the last two or three months for us.’

With the game effectively ending our play off hopes, Pearson took the opportunity to thank the fans for their support throughout the season.

‘The fans have stuck behind the players, been very positive, but unfortunately we weren’t able to delivery again. It’s a shame because we’ve made some real progress, but the results haven’t done enough to get us where we want to be. From being very promising, it has turned into a very frustrating one.’

All we can do now is make sure we get it right in the next match and then cross our fingers and hope.
