Leicester welcome fellow promotion hopefuls Oldham to the Walkers Stadium tomorrow, knowing that a win would take them 13 points clear at the top of League One, with MK Dons’ game at Crewe postponed due to adverse weather conditions.

Oldham have had relatively patchy form of late, not winning in their last two games in League One. Leicester on the other hand boast the League’s best form record, unbeaten in 16 and currently holding fort at the top of the league.

Vital Quotes:

Olham manager John Sheridan: ‘This is a good game for us against a Leicester side who have proved they are the best in the league by winning a lot of games.

We have done well at the big grounds since I’ve been here and for some reason we tend to save our best football for the bigger teams.

It will be a tough ask but I’m looking forward to it and I hope the players are as well. We have won big games while I’ve been here and I hope we don’t let ourselves down.’

Leicester striker Matty Fryatt: ‘They’ve got physical players, from the goalkeeper to the defence and up front.

‘They’re in the play-offs so we know what they’re capable of. But if we play our own stuff, we should be able to win.’

Leicester City Team News:

Joe Mattock faces a battle to keep hold of his left back spot following the return of Bruno Berner from injury.

However, it is expected manager Nigel Pearson will keep faith with the side which demolished Walsall 4-1 midweek.

Player to watch: Tom Cleverley

The on-loan Mancester United youngster had a fine game for the Foxes in midweek and will be looking to build on it with another good performance at the Walkers tomorrow.

Oldham Athletic Team News:

It’s good news for the Foxes as Lee Hughes struggles to be fit for the match with an achilles problem.

Lewis Alessandra, Andy Liddell and on-loan Dean Windass are all in contention to replace him up front for the Latics.

Player to watch: Dean Windass

The Foxes don’t possess the most experienced centre backs in Jack Hobbs and Michael Morrison, and Windass will certainly be looking to take advantage of this. Big, strong and powerful, the well-travelled striker has the ability to cause problems for Pearson’s men.
