Lloyd Dyer has signed a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2014.

The 28-year-old has featured heavily under Paulo Sousa, flourishing as one of Leicester’s top performers in a disappointing campaign so far.

Winger Dyer has suffered with inconsistencies in the past during his time at the Walkers, but his form under Sousa has persuaded the club to extend his current deal.

Dyer was quick to lay praise on his City colleagues after putting pen to paper.

“I really enjoy playing for Leicester City and I’d like to thank the management staff, my colleagues and the supporters,” he said.

“I hope to repay their faith by playing well for the team and helping to lift us up the division in the process.”

Paulo Sousa revealed his delight at securing the services of the forward, saying:

“I am very pleased that Lloyd has agreed to sign this contract extension. He has been playing well and is the calibre of player that we hope to have at the club.

“I hope that we will see more from Lloyd now that his future is settled and I am looking forward to him continuing to produce the form that he is capable of.”
