Decisions For Sven After IK Sirius

The likes of Yann Kermorgant gave Sven something to think about following yesterdays first pre season friendly against IK Sirius.

After the penalty miss against Cardiff, Kermorgant spent last season on loan in France and it was expected he would be one of the first out of the door this summer, but it appears Sven is giving him his fair chance of being part of our future, and he certainly didn’t harm that chance with a decent performance and our closing goal in yesterdays friendly.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury following the game, Sven said.

‘I think Yann was good, he played second striker and offensive midfielder. He did ok. It’s difficult to judge because I know they all have heavy legs and all of them can do much better.’

The players certainly would’ve been tired as Sven opted to let the starters finish the match instead of using subs.

Other players who Sven is waiting to make his decision on include Aleksandar Tunchev and triallist Michael Ball.

Commenting on those two he added.

‘Tunchev has picked up an injury, he has a problem at the top of his thigh, so we will see. Michael is not ready 100% but I hope he can go on as he is without any knee problems. If he does he will be a very good player. We haven’t signed him yet but we will make that decision at the end of the tour.’
