Gerry Taggart’s strong Leicester City reserve team overcame their Derby County counterparts 3-1 earlier today at the Rams’ training ground.

The game marked the long-awaited return of former club captain Stephen Clemence, whose troublesome Achilles injury has kept him out of the Foxes first team for around a year and a half. Clemence managed 30 minutes of much needed action, coming on as a second half substitute.

Meanwhile, wantaway striker DJ Cambell continued to provide manager Nigel Pearson with food for thought, as his hat-trick secured the victory for the Foxes’ second string. The former-Birmingham City striker has now scored five goals in his last two reserve outings, with his future still remaining unclear.

Leicester Reserves: Logan, O’Neill, Tunchev, Trialist, Rowe-Turner, Gradel, C.King, Ajdarevic, Porter, Kermorgant, Campbell.
