Shrewsbury Town 0-4 Leicester City

A 35 minute first-half four goal salvo gave Leicester a comfortable 4-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town at the New Stadium earlier today.

Strikes from Jack Hobbs and new signing Dany N’Guessan sandwiched inbetween two goals from Lloyd Dyer gave the Foxes a comfortable victory on the day.

Hobbs gave Leicester the lead after just 12 minutes when he headed home Nicky Adams’ corner, before Adams turned provider again soon after.

His pass to Lloyd Dyer allowed the left winger to fire home impressively six minutes later to double the advantage.

And Adams was again invovled in Leicester’s third as he set up N’Guessan for the third goal of the afternoon to put the game beyond doubt.

It was soon four when Dyer scored his second and Leicester’s fourth of the afternoon, converting in the 37th minute to complete a first-half rout.

The second half was a quieter affair, as Pearson rung several changes that saw out a comfortable and impressive win for the Foxes.

Leicester: Weale, Nielson, Hobbs, Morrison, Berner, Adams, Wellens, Oakley, Dyer, Howard, N’Guessan.
