Ron-Robert Zieler completed a permanent move to Stuttgart late yesterday evening and in return it was being reported yesterday that Leicester will approach Hull City over their goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic.

The Leicester Mercury were reporting yesterday that it was expected that Zieler would complete a £3.5million move back to Germany and to Bundesliga side Stuttgart this summer.

Speculation has been rife over the keeper in terms of a return to Germany following his time with us where he couldn’t displace the ever reliable Kasper Schmeichel, and it seems he’s ready to agree a three year deal with the German side to get back to more regular playing time following his 13 appearances overall for us last season.

That was confirmed later in the evening by lcfc.com who stated that the 28 year old had now agreed personal terms and passed a medical, penning a three year deal with the side.

The Hull Daily Mail report in return that Jakupovic continues to be a target for us, and that our chances of landing him could be boosted by the signing of Harry Maguire.

They say that having featured on our radar for a while following his performances for them last season as they almost avoided the drop back to the Championship, we are now ready to test them with a formal offer.

Jakupovic has 12 months left on his original deal but it’s believed Hull hold a 24 month extension option but with David Marshall and Allan McGregor already on their books, the decision might be to cash in now to raise funds.
