Winning is the name of the game for Pearson

New Leicester boss Nigel Pearson isn’t making any promises to play any kind of sexy football at the Walkers, his sole priority is to be winning football matches to get us promoted as he BBC Radio Leicester ‘Ultimately it’s about winning football – it’s a results business. I’m not going to promise a certain style of football.
‘What is the most important thing is that we’re successful, and if we can play good football, all well and good.’

Pearson wasn’t everyone’s first choice, in fact he was a surprise choice for many but he feels that as long as he gets off to a good start he can win the fans over ‘If there is a positive response then that’s great but if there isn’t then my responsibility and challenge is to get people on our side.
‘And the way to do that is to win games.’

Whatever people might think, or how surprised they were at Milan Mandaric’s appointment of Pearson the simple truth is he is our manager now and we must get behind him, and I’m sure we will, and as he himself has said winning is the most important thing, if he is doing that we’ll be happy.
