Wesolowski’s injury nightmare

Having broken into the Leicester side as a teenager three-years ago James Wesolowski seems destined for very big things, but a series of injuries have hampered his progress. However, like others before him have also said this week, he is determined to put these behind him and prove his worth to aid our promotion challenge.

Hamstring problems restricted the number of matches he could play last season and the two-years before that he endured the heartbreak of not one, but two broken legs, picking up the first one in 2005 in a pre-season match against Celtic and the second in 2006. Our relegation at the end of last season capped what had been three-years of hell for the Academy graduate, who despite only being 20 is our one of our longest serving players!

With these problems now hopefully behind him he is determined to play his part in helping us back to the Championship and repay the faith the fans have shown in him, and will do the club this season, and I’m sure he can!

Against Celtic he was looking so good but then a stupid Bobo Balde tackle really did him in. If he’s given the chance, he will take it.

I’m sure he will, and we’ll get behind him and the rest of the lads.
