Former Leicester manager Martin Allen returned to the club to sign James Wesolowski on loan at the tail end of last week.

Wesolowski has teamed up with his former Foxes manager at Cheltenham, where he will join Barry Hayles who is also on loan with Allen’s side, and will be looking to get some matches under his belt. And another former Leicester player Darren Kenton joined him when the free agent signed a three-month contract.

Another player who will not be pulling on the Leicester shirt for a while will be Paul Dickov. He has had surgery on a back problem, but manager Nigel Pearson isn’t expecting him to be out for too long: ‘He’ll be back fairly quickly, which is good for us,’ Pearson told BBC Radio Leicester.

The veteran is expected to be out for at least five weeks though.
