Austrian fullback Christian Fuchs has said Swansea disappointment will motivate Leicester City to get something from this weekend’s tie with Manchester City.

With last weekend’s tie at the King Power Stadium ending in a one all draw, Fuchs knew the having taken the lead and seen a goal disallowed, we really should’ve picked up the win and he told this week with the players preparing for the next match that everyone had been disappointed.

‘Obviously, we`re disappointed. I think after the first half, we have to be two or three goals up but that didn`t happen. The second goal was offside before Wilfred Ndidi got the ball, so it`s kind of disappointing but it`s what we have to live with now.’

Whilst taking the point, he felt on the balance of the game we had deserved all three.

‘I think us winning would have been a fair result given the effort that we put into the game in the first half. They were sitting back and defending deep with every man they had on the pitch. Again, it`s disappointing, but we`ll take the point.’

With Kelechi Iheanacho coming close to opening his Premier League account for us, Fuchs also knew he’d be incredibly motivated to do that against his former employers.

‘I don`t know – it was a great save from the defender. I have no explanation for that. He`s usually great at finishing. I think in his mind he was already celebrating! But he`s going to get his chance. He played great when he`s on the field, so I`m looking forward to the next game.’

‘I think especially for Kelechi it would be great to start scoring there in the Premier League. It`s another great fixture. They drew today (Saturday) so they also want to get back to winning ways. We`re definitely not just going there to be sparring partners, we want to go there to get something out of it.’
