After a truly terrible November Leicester fans will be hoping that December will be a different story and the team will start to pick up some vital points.

Although the month began with a 4-1 defeat at home to Sheff Wed, the team have managed to pull together and end their losing streak with a 2-1 victory over Wolves on Saturday. It was the first win for Leicester in their last 6 games and means they have extended the gap between them and the relegation zone to 5 points.

Leicester took the lead thanks to Elvis Hammond, whose pace saw him get into a good scoring opportunity and surprisingly for some City fans, Hammond managed to fire the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the area.

Leicester tried to hold onto their lead but failed and with only 9 minutes left Lewis Gobern stepped up for Wolves and scored with a volley that should have probably been saved by Paul Henderson, who was making his first start in the league since September

Although some City fans would have been happy with taking a point from the game, the players had other ideas and a good pass from Elvis Hammond found Levi Porter who managed to jink his way into the penalty box and score the winner for City, via a deflection.

The winner game in the last minute and guaranteed Leicester all three points and took some pressure of Rob Kelly and the players. The next game Leicester have is at home on Saturday to Barnsley. Only 2 points separate the two teams and the Leicester fans will see the game as a must win, not only to allow the team to build on the win against Wolves put also to pull the club away from the relegation zone.
