Aleksander Tunchev will hopefully be able to make his first appearance in for Leicester in England tomorrow, almost two weeks after his work permit was first issued.

Tunchev was able to play a match in Slovenia during our pre-season training camp, but the final documentation required for him to be able to play in this country is still tangled up in home office red tape, which is frustrating Nigel Pearson. However the city gaffer also concedes that this hold up, although not ideal as he can’t get any matches under his belt, is giving others a chance to impress.

Tunchev’s work permit was granted almost two weeks ago, but this hold up has stopped the Bulgarian from playing in England so far, but providing the final required documentation comes through in time he could make his first start on home soil at the Walkers Stadium in the match with Birmingham on Tuesday night.
