Nigel Pearson has said that he is hopeful we will keep our focus from the Bolton game and take that into our remaining three fixtures.

Speaking to lcfc.com ahead of the Palace match, with some hope restored from our first win in our last 10 games I believe, Pearson said the players could be proud of this season and will look back on it as being full of positives, but what they need to focus on now is ending it on a high, securing the play off place, and having an end to the hard work done so far.

‘I think some of our players will look back at this season in future years and they will be able to draw upon a lot of positive things. Whatever happens this season, the players have gone through a multitude of emotions, as everybody has. I know there has been a lot of frustration for our fans but I think the players for the most part this season have gone about the games in the right way.’

Pearson does add that this doesn’t mean we haven’t let ourselves down on occassions, but he feels that if he had to chart things, there has been a growing development within the squad that should stand us in good stead in the future – regardless of what happens over the next three games – but the players owe it to themselves and the fans to give it their all, and end on a high.

If we are at our best, the final three fixtures are completely winnable.
