The pick of this weekend’s League One fixtures sees top of the pile Scunthorpe take on 2nd placed Leicester City at Glanford Park.
Both sides were relegated from the Championship last season following disappointing seasons and Saturday’s match could provide a big step towards promotion for either team.
Leicester Assistant Manager Craig Shakespeare (Leicester City Official Site): ‘A lot of people discarded Scunthorpe at the start of the season – but make no bones about it – they are up at the top of the table on merit. Both teams go into the game wanting to win it. It certainly makes for a great contest.’
Midfielder Grant McCann is a possible doubt after picking up a virus on duty with Northern Ireland, although he should be fit for the tie.
McCann’s central midfield partner Sam Togwell is definitely out of the game, as he serves a one match suspension.
Gary Hooper
Centre back Aleksander Tunchev should be available after his international duties with Bulgaria earlier this week.
Striker Steve Howard is ruled out of the match through suspension after his 5th booking of the season last week at Swindon, so it looks like either DJ Campbell or Paul Dickov will take his place up front for the Foxes.
