Leicester City will travel to Sven-Goran Eriksson’s homeland during pre-season preparations.

The Foxes will stay in Sweden for 9 days playing 3 friendlies, two of which will be in a 4 team tournament.

We will play IK Sirius of the Swedish 3rd tier in Uppsala on July 12, before travelling to play our final two fixtures in the Stockholm Football Trophy which will include Spanish side Real Mallorca, Italians, Brescia and 2nd tier Hammarby.

In the tournament we will face Brescia in the Soderstadion on July 15 before meeting Hammarby in the same stadium on July 18.

The Trophy will be awarded to the highest scoring team across their two games. (why we don’t play Real Mallorca is beyond me?)

Confirmed Pre-Season so far:

July 12 – IK Sirius – Uppsala
July 15 – Brescia – Stockholm Football Trophy
July 18 – Hammarby – Stockholm Football Trophy
July 30 – Real Madrid – Walkers Stadium
