Sven-Goran Eriksson has explained why he dropped new signings Matt Mills, John Pantsil and Neil Danns on Wednesday.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury the boss explained that he took them out of the starting line up so they could have longer to work and gel with the team, and it’s likely they will return in our next match.

‘They are important players for us and we haven’t signed them to sit on the bench, they will come back into the team. Matt is one who needs to work more with us, and we need to do more technical work. He missed a lot of training with a toe problem. If you take John Pantsil for example, I think he has had four sessions with us in total. It’s not that easy to just jump into a team.’
