Young left back Ben Chilwell has said that everyone in the Leicester City camp are fully aware that Stoke City will be a dangerous proposition this weekend.

Leicester host Stoke at the King Power Stadium for an early kick off on Saturday, and they have only lost once since Paul Lambert was appointed as Mark Hughes replacement, and speaking with lcfc.com as he met with the media to preview the game, Chilwell explained that everyone knew the clash would be a battle.

‘In the Premier League, every match is a challenge, so it`s definitely not going to be something that we`re going to go into with the thought that we`re going to win. It`s obviously going to be a difficult match. They`re battling at the bottom of the table, which makes them dangerous.’

Chilwell went on to say.

‘It`s going to be a tough match and we`re going to be positive going into it and confident that we`re going to win it, but we`re definitely not going to underestimate them. They`re fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table, which makes them dangerous. It makes them go into any game as if it`s their last match and they`re going to give it their all, which we know. We`ve been in that position before over the past few years so we know what it`s like. We know they`re a good team as well – they`ve got good players that we have to be wary of. We`re definitely confident that we can win the match.’

With Chilwell’s own performance against Sheffield United in the last match, he reflected on his delight at helping us to a clean sheet and he felt the response from the side was good.

‘When you have a bad game as a team, making sure the next match is a good one is definitely important and that game against Sheffield United, it was obviously important to get the win. It`s a good confidence booster going into this weekend. Clean sheets for the whole team are important, but especially for the back four and the goalkeeper. It`s nice to get a clean sheet and for the whole team, long may that continue. Hopefully we can get some more clean sheets between now and the end of the season.’
