After replacing the suspended Matt Mills for the Watford match, Sean St. Ledger was delighted to get back on the pitch.

Speaking to lcfc.com the Republic of Ireland centre half said he was determined to make life difficult for Sven and give him a selection headache when Mills is available for selection again.

‘The manager made some changes on Wednesday night, everyone’s fighting for a place and it can be difficult. It’s not nice to be left out, I’ve been there and I know what it feels like, but over the course of the season there will be injuries, suspensions, chops and changes and you just have to stick at it and bide your time.’
