New Leicester manager Paulo Sousa could raid former club Swansea for Andrea Orlandi, according to the Swansea Evening Post.

The Spanish midfielder is available on a free transfer afater failing to agree a new deal at the Liberty Stadium, a factor which bodes well for the cash-strapped Foxes.

And Sousa is believed to be keen on bringing the 25-year-old to the Walkers Stadium this summer.

Orlandi is a left-sided midfielder by trade, but played much of his Swansea life in the middle under Sousa.

But with quality in the wings currently difficult to come by at Leicester, Orlandi could find himself in his favoured position should Sousa make his move for the player.

The Spaniard, born in Barcelona, spent two years on loan at the Catalan giants.

During this time he made one first team La Liga appearance at left back, after manager Frank Rijkaard showed faith in the then 23-year-old.

A fledging career at the Nou Camp never materialised however, and Orlandi returned to parent club Deportivo Aláves befor his free transfer move to Swansea in 2007.
