It’s being suggested this afternoon that Leicester City striker Islam Slimani could be set for a move to Besiktas this month.

Slimani has been the subject of plenty of speculation with the January transfer window now open, and it’s said by Sky Sports that Besiktas president Fikret Orman was at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday evening for the Fleetwood Town replay, and obviously Slimani started for us in that tie.

Talks are said to be ongoing between both clubs, but agreement has not yet been made on the player who became our club record signing back after we won the Premier League title in 2015/16.

Manager Claude Puel has previously said that at least one striker would go given the numbers we have at the top of the pitch, and Slimani and Leo Ulloa appear the likely ones if the correct deals can be done.
