A brace of goals by Louis Dodds helped Leicester City’s Acedemy team to recover a two-goal deficit and record a remarkable seventh successive League win at Belvoir Drive this morning.

Leicester’s 4-3 victory over Tottenham Under 18’s enabled them to maintain pressure on Premier Academy League leaders Aston Villa and made it eight games unbeaten for the second-placed City youngsters.

Goalkeeper Alex Cisak gifted Spurs the opening goal when he failed to gather a free kick but Leicester were equally fortuitous with their equaliser when Ashley Chambers’ long range shot bounced over the diving Spurs keeper.

Despite having played some good football City eventually fell 3-1 behind in the second half but signs of their refusal to quit came when Eric Odhiambo hit a post and real hope was offered with a goal from 20-yards by fellow striker Dodds.

Adam Wykes’ free kick created the equaliser from a Joe Mattock header and, close to time, Dodds stabbed in a close range winner to maintain City’s record of not having lost since mid-January.

Their aggregate victory for the last four matches is 15-1.
