Leicester have announced the seven players that will not be offered new deals with the club for next season’s Championship campaign.

The highest profile member of those is midfielder Stephen Clemence, who recently announced his retirement from the game after an Achilles injury which effectively ended his career back in March 2008.

Joining the club from Birmingham City along with striker DJ Campbell, Clemence sadly never lived up to expectations and becomes a welcome omission from the club’s wage bill.

Also leaving the club is striker Billy Kee, who rose through the youth ranks before enjoying time on loan with League Two Accrington Stanley.

The 19-year-old may have had his time called at the Walkers Stadium, but a contract with a team in the lower leagues is almost certainly close.

Winger Levi Porter will be leaving the Foxes after a disappointing fall from grace, along with Astrit Ajdarevic, Robbie Burns, Alex Cisak and Carl Pentney.
