Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has been named the UEFA Champions League Player of the Week following his performance against Sevilla last Tuesday.

Hosting Sevilla at the King Power Stadium for the second leg, Leicester were trailing two one from the first leg, but a sublime performance from the squad saw us to a two nil victory on the day and through to our quarter final tie against Atletico Madrid.

With the game seeing Schmeichel’s fifth clean sheet in the competition registered and with him pulling off a number of saves in both legs – including penalty stops – he was named the Player of the Week for the tournament after Friday’s quarter final draw.

A richly well deserved achievement for him, so well done Kasp.
