Kasper Schmeichel has said that although Leicester have failed to live up to their own expectations, he is still hopeful of promotion this season.

Speaking to Sky Sports the goalkeeper said.

‘We haven’t quite lived up to our own expectations yet, but it’s coming towards the part of the season where you have to start delivering and start building up a run and that’s what I hope we can do.’

Schmeichel adds that he believes that the team have now adjusted from all the changes, and we are in the right position to push on in the league now.

‘We’re only halfway through, we’re a new team, a lot of new players, a completely new set up, so things do sometimes take a bit of time. Players need time to settle.’
