Manager Claudio Ranieri has given his thoughts ahead of this weekend’s game with West Bromwich Albion and we also get an injury update.

Beginning with injuries, he explained to lcfc.com.

‘I didn`t want to risk him (Leonardo Ulloa) but I think he could be available for Saturday. I want to check today and tomorrow. At the moment no (no fresh injuries), but I want to check. Yesterday I spoke and said everybody is okay.’

Matty James continues to be missing obviously with his long term knee injury but Ranieri confirmed he’s making good progress still.

‘He`s getting better. Every time when I shake his hand he`s much stronger and he`s getting better.’

As for the game itself on the back of the penalty loss to Hull City in the Capital One Cup tie the other day, the gaffer called for concentration and focus from the team as we looked to continue our league form.

‘It`s another tough match. They defend very well and try to attack. They didn`t score too many goals so far but they didn`t concede too many goals so far. It will be another tough match, but all the matches in the Premier League are tough. It`s a very interesting Premier League this season. They have won four matches, drawn two and lost four. They close all the space very well. They press very well and they go on the counter attack. We must be very careful to read the match very well.’

With a great start to the Premiership campaign this year, Ranieri was quick to say everybody would be keeping their feet firmly on the ground as the only target at the moment was 40 points.

‘I want to achieve 40 points, and when we achieve 40 points, I have an open mind. I think when something happens you aren`t thinking what happens, you live what happens. Maybe at the end of the season we say we`ve started very well, we`ve done very well, but now it`s not the right moment to think, it`s the right moment to do.’
