Leicester City manager Claude Puel has said he could have Robert Huth and Danny Simpson back for the FA Cup clash against Peterborough United this weekend.

Leicester head to London Road this weekend for the FA Cup fourth round tie against Peterborough and speaking to lcfc.com as he met with the media ahead of the game, Puel said that both players could come into contention given their progress on injuries.

Simpson has been out with a hamstring injury since the two all draw with Manchester United in December whilst an ankle issue has sidelined Huth since the beginning of the campaign and he’s yet to appear for Puel at all.

‘Robert can perhaps participate with this game. We will see. I think he will come with the squad. Simpson is available also.’

Saturday’s match could also see new signing Fousseni Diabate make his senior bow for the club following his arrival earlier in the window. He did of course make his club debut as a 21 minute substitute in the Under 23 defeat to Oldham Athletic in the EFL Trophy.

‘Perhaps he will have some game time, we will see with other players also, but we will pick a team to win the game. I hope we will get further in this competition. He is the right profile with the right attributes. He is learning the Premier League and he has the attributes to be a player for the future.’

Captain Wes Morgan remains out with his hamstring injury picked up the game against Huddersfield Town on New Year’s Day and this game seems to come too quickly for him.

With Kelechi Iheanacho seeing game times and success on a goal front for him so far this season, he was also in the press conference ahead of the game and he described the cup run so far as a ‘beautiful experience.

‘I think it`s a great competition and it`s a great thing to be scoring in the FA Cup. I`m happy to be scoring in the FA Cup and I`m working hard every day, so it`s a great cup to be playing in. I didn`t have the opportunity to watch all of the games when I was younger but I think playing in it now makes it more beautiful.’

He added.

‘I think the FA Cup has great memories and I think there have been Nigerian legends that have played in it as well, like Jay-Jay Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu. They`ve played in it, so it`s a great thing to play in the FA Cup. I have great memories. I hope I`ll be in it and have one great memory, which is winning the FA Cup.’
