Leicester City midfielder Levi Porter has joined Blue Square Premier side Mansfield Town on an initial one month loan period.

Porter, 22, has been off the Foxes radar for some time now after an internal club issue saw him permamnently frozen out of Nigel Pearson’s first team plans.

And now the youth academy graduate has made attempts to rejuvinate his once promising career in order to find much-needed first team football with the Stags.

Porter has made just two first team appearances in the last two seasons. He suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in the 07/08 Carling Cup against Chelsea, and has since failed to break into the City first team on a regular basis.
