Leicester City players returned to training today, plenty of familiar faces and a couple of new ones were put through their first paces for the season ahead.

Belvoir Drive is still undergoing redevelopments but it’s of little concern to Eriksson who insists that any dispruption to our preparations will be minimal.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury he said.

‘The training pitches were okay last season but they never really recovered, so the work is good. The owners have shown they want to do things with quality and there will be a lot of work on the building and the pitches, as well as the stadium and main pitch. Pre season won’t really be affected, we will make arrangements do to something elsewhere.’

Sven believes the work on the training ground will be completed by the time the players return from our tour of Sweden and Austria, in the meantime we are using the facilities at the University of Leicester.
