Nigel Pearson still believes we can make up ground and be in the play off battle come the end of the season, as long as we can go on a consistent run now and build on the Cardiff result.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury the gaffer said.

‘If we can put together some sort of run, there are still an awful lot of points to play for. We have to go out and do it, I am still very confident.’

Andrew Neville has told the BBC that he believes we would certainly have attained promotion if Nigel had been in charge from the beginning of the season and he said the owners are fully behind the manager even if we don’t reach our stated aim this season, but Pearson is right, there are enough games left for us to play catch up and then really push for the play offs but as ever it’s about seeing the consistency on the pitch and turning those draws into three points.

‘We have drawn too many games at home, home form is always going to be important. I thought the fans were very positive, and, in a seasons where clearly we have under performed our fans remain very upbeat,’ Pearson added.
