Nigel Pearson has said our play off hopes are still alive as long as we maintain the standard we showed against Birmingham last night.

Speaking to lcfc.com following the 3-1 win Pearson said he was happy with the response of the players to our recent results, but he knows we need to find that consistency that has alluded us all season, if we hope to have a fighting chance at promotion.

‘It was a good performance and a good result because we needed it. The plot thickens because there will be some strange results in the weeks to come and, although we’ve had some frustrating results, there will be fans and managers all over the country feeling very similar. We have to concentrate on ourselves and if our performance levels are in keeping with tonight, we’ve still got a real fighting chance.’
