Manager Nigel Pearson is looking for a winning start when we open the season against Middlesbrough this weekend.

Speaking to lcfc.com ahead of the kick off for 2013-14, Pearson said he knows that Boro will provide stiff opposition, but he wants three points to set us up for the challenges ahead.

‘It’s always nice to have different options and we go into this with a fully fit squad which is great. We’re looking forward to it and we’ve prepared as well as we can. I think the players are looking forward to getting the season up and running and it’s never an easy place to go but if we go about the game in the right way then we’ll have the right opportunities. We want to get off to a winning start.’
