Nigel Pearson has said we made too many mistakes against Charlton and in the end, we paid for it.

Speaking to lcfc.com following the game, Pearson said.

‘This same group of players have played some really good football. The danger is that you get too far ahead of yourself by looking at what happens elsewhere. We’ve just lost two league games on the sin, and didn’t play particularly well, but I don’t think we deserved to lose.’

A bit of complacency or nerves kicking in because of how close we are to our aim?

Pearson does say that although Charlton’s second goal was a good strike, he was disappointed with how we dealt with the lead up to the goal and we certainly should’ve looked to close the player down much quicker than we did.

‘We’ve made mistakes that have cost us dearly.’

Time to stop making them and focus on all three points against Blackpool.
