Nigel Pearson has said that one of the highlights of this season has been the progress of our next generation from the Academy.

Speaking to lcfc.com Pearson talked about the progress of the likes of Jeff Schlupp, Tom Hopper and Liam Moore, and he believes not only is it a positive sign for the coming seasons that Leicester are producing stars of the future, he also thinks their progress into the first team serves as the perfect boost for other youngsters at the club as they will know that if they work hard, they will get the rewards.

‘They’re doing very, very well and I think continuity at the Football Club is always important. One thing we have going for us here is that players will get opportunities if they’re good enough. We’ve had players coming through and being involved in the first team and I think that givse encouragement to everyone in the Academy.’
