Nigel Pearson has declared himself pleased after he oversaw a much better performance from the Foxes against Burton Albion.

Speaking to lcfc.com following the 3-1 victory, Pearson was pleased with the response of the squad following the 2-0 defeat by Shrewsbury.

‘After Saturday we needed to up the tempo and I thought we did that tonight. For the most part we were in control. I was pleased with the application, there were several that completed 90 minutes, which will be good for them. We’ll do the same on Saturday (Lincoln) and then we’ve got a couple of games where we can cherry pick which players need topping up.’

There are concerns surrounding Sean St.Ledger and the club are waiting on a scan to determine how bad the injury might be.

‘We were unlucky to pick up an injury but we’ll have to see. It’s probably not going to be as short as we’d like it to be, but we’ll cope.’

St.Ledger limped off 9 minutes into the game.
