Nigel Pearson has hailed the professional approach taken by the players in today’s 2-0 victory over Swindon Town.

Speaking to lcfc.com following the game, Pearson was delighted overall, especially with Jermaine Beckford’s contribution.

‘It was a good game and I was pleased with the way we dealt with the challenge posed by Swindon in a professional manner. From my perspective I felt that it was a comfortable win.’

Pearson debuted academy striker Tom Hopper today, has was pleased with how he stepped up to the first team.

‘He did well when he came on and we are pleased for him. Tom trained with us yesterday and he didn’t look out of place. It will have been a good experience for him to be involved and hopefully he will take a lot from today.’

Pearson has now called on the team to take this momentum forward into our next game and really develop a winning mentality that will see us make up for lost time in the league.
