After our, erm, disappointing 3-1 loss to Reading today, Nigel Pearson said he expects more from the team.

Speaking to lcfc.com Pearson admitted we paid the price for a poor first half, and even though the second was much immproved, we still fell far below the standards the manager expects from us.

‘The first half wasn’t good enough, our application wasn’t right. I thought we were sluggish and we didn’t work hard enough. I expect more than that and consequently I will make changes.’

Not much else he can say apart from the positives of our improvement in the second half, but when we needed a win and have seen all too many lacklustre performances this season the positives don’t really seem that interesting at the moment.

Yes Reading are a good side, but if we are going to go down we go down fighting for 90 minutes, not because we didn’t turn up for half the match.
