Nigel Pearson has bemoaned our inability to take advantage of our first half dominance over Millwall.

Speaking to lcfc.com after the 2-1 loss, Pearson knows the defeat is a bitter pill to our play off hopes and he thinks we were sucker punched by the London club.

‘Especially in the first half, we were very much in control and created a lot of promising situations. Our movement was very good and we were ready to take the game to them, but unfortunately we came unstuck with a set play, which is what they’re all about. They punished us at a time when we were very much on top.’

Pearson isn’t give up on the hope of us closing the gap though.

‘There are three games left and we go again on Tuesday. It’s a poor result today and I don’t intend for us to just run it out.’

Makes life very tight for us, 3 games left and 6 points to make up. Can’t see it after this defeat can you?
