Nigel Pearson has said he is confident that Anthony Knockaert will play a part in our game on Friday.

Speaking to lcfc.com ahead of the game against Middlesbrough, Pearson gave an update on our French winger after he limped out of the game against Bristol City.

‘He had a knock in training prior to the game and got a knock in the same place so it was an easy decision to replace him. He was a bit ill on Saturday morning as well, but it’s given him a bit more time to recover and he should be ok for Friday. There’s a bit of illness amongst players and staff alike, but everyone’s going through that at the moment. We’ll manage it ok.’

Whilst Jamie Vardy returns to contention, Pearson has however ruled out St.Ledger and Whitbread for the game.
