David Nugent has admitted he has set himself the target of breaking 20 goals this season.

Speaking to lcfc.com Nugent, currently sitting on 14 goals, said he thinks he’s more than capable of finding another 6 goals in the remaining 18 games, and why wouldn’t he.

‘I’ve got 18 games left to grab six, and it’s realistic that I can get those 20 goals, that’s my target. Even if I hit 20 I can hopefully set myself a new target and score the goals that can keep us in the top two spots and get us to the Premier League. At this stage of the season it’s probably the best return I’ve had in my career. I seem to be getting important goals that win us three points at the moment so I’m happy.’

Certainly more than doable with the games we have left, the form he’s in and the chances we’re creating.
