Nigel Pearson has confirmed that David Nugent may miss the Sheffield Wednesday game following a neck injury sustained against Forest.

Speaking to ahead of the game, Pearson confirmed that it was the recurrence of the neck injury that saw him substituted against Ipswich, but they aren’t going to risk him if he’s not right.

‘He’s probably going to be missing for the next couple of games. It’s unfortunate because he’s been playing well and scoring goals for us, but we just have to make sure it is right before he is exposed again.’

In better news for Pearson, he also confirmed that Paul Konchesky has returned to training.
