Nigel Pearson has admitted that the club aren’t going to be making significant changes to the playing squad this season, but he didn’t rule out new additions completely.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury Pearson clearly believes that the trials of last season will stand the squad well when it comes to the improvement we need to show to not have history repeat itself.

‘I don’t think there are going to be massive changes. We will need to work very hard to come into line with the Financial Fair Play regulations. I’m not ruling anything out.’

Pearson says that the speculation linking us with people (very little really) is just that but fans can see that not many Championship clubs are active so far this window and that is because of the FPP implications where clubs can only make a finite amount of loss this season.

But clearly things will hot up in the coming weeks, and again he won’t rule out a few fresh faces, they just aren’t imminent, and it won’t be a significant number if he does add.

Maybe one or two permanent deals and then the use of the loan market again?
